Before You Get Started

  1. Ensure your new construction is within OUC’s service territory.
  2. Decide which new construction rebates you plan to apply for.
  3. Review manufacturers’ specifications and confirm that all measures comply with local and state laws.
  4. Applications must be submitted within six (6) months from the closing date.
  5. Ensure your space is air-conditioned, as unconditioned spaces will not qualify for this program.

Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: All measures must meet and be installed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and comply with all local and state laws. Applications must be submitted within six (6) months of the closing date. Each rebate has specific requirements to follow.

Eligibility: This program only applies to new commercial construction. To be eligible for energy rebates, the property must be located in OUC’s electric service territory. To be eligible for water rebates, the property must be located in OUC’s water service territory.

Reimbursement: Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.

Exemptions: Commercial properties located outside of OUC service territory are not eligible for Commercial New Construction Rebates. Areas that are not air conditioned do not qualify for any energy-efficiency Commercial New Construction Rebates.
