How Does it Help?

Year-Round Savings

Provides efficient heating and cooling, which means they’re great for saving energy during Florida’s mild winters and hot summers.

Humidity Control

Many modern heat pumps come with built-in humidity sensors. These sensors monitor the indoor humidity levels and adjust system operation to maintain optimal humidity.

Environmentally Friendly

Because they use less energy, heat pumps also have a smaller carbon footprint compared to traditional systems.

Before You Get Started

  1. Evaluate your existing heating and cooling system.
  2. Determine your cooling needs, taking into account the size of your home, the quality of your insulation and ducts, climate, and window placement.
  3. Learn more about heat pump A/C systems on energy.gov.
  4. Research a new system with a rating of 15.2 SEER2/16 SEER or higher.
  5. Consult with a professional to assist with installation.
