Submitting Your Rebate Application

Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:

For self-installation:

  1. Receipt/invoice for the controller purchase. Brand, model number and/or SKU must be included.
  2. Proof of WaterSense certification, such as a manufacturer’s brochure or specification sheet, retailer’s product description screenshot, WaterSense product search page screenshot, etc.
  3. A clear picture of the installed controller at your home with the cover opened. Click here for further guidance.

For professional installation:

  1. Receipt for the controller purchase, and/or an itemized contractor invoice for the controller and/or installation costs. Brand, model number and/or SKU must be included. If the controller is purchased by the customer and then installed by a professional, the receipt for the controller and the invoice for the installation must be submitted.
  2. Proof of WaterSense certification, such as a manufacturer’s brochure or specification sheet, retailer’s product description screenshot, WaterSense product search page screenshot, etc. Click here for further guidance.
Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: The controller must be a new, standalone WaterSense-labeled controller. All receipts/invoices submitted must be dated and submitted within six (6) months of the date of purchase.

Eligibility: This rebate is only available for OUC potable water customers with in-ground irrigation systems. A maximum of two rebates can be claimed per property.

Reimbursement: Receive 100% of the cost of the controller and installation, up to $200. Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.

Exemptions: Property cannot be located outside of OUC’s water service territory. Homes using reclaimed water or water from a well, lake, pond, etc. for irrigation are not eligible for rebate consideration. Plug-in or add-on irrigation controllers are not eligible for rebate consideration. Rebate amount does not include taxes, shipping/handling or other fees.
