Before You Get Started

  1. Review the Florida Water Star℠ Points List for new and existing homes. Review the checklists for Silver or Gold certification.
  2. Ensure your home meets all the criteria listed in the certification you are aiming for.
  3. Compile any supporting documentation.
  4. Hire a Florida Water Star℠ independent inspector to document and attest to all criteria being met for certification.
  5. Receive certification through the Certified Ratings Program, which your inspector will coordinate with you.

Submitting Your Rebate Application

Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:

  1. A copy of your Florida Water Star℠ certificate provided by the St. Johns River or South Florida Water Management District.
Rebate Requirements & FAQs

Requirements: Completion of the Florida Water Star℠ checklist for Silver Certification or Gold Certification is mandatory for determining the rating of new and existing dwellings or buildings. Properties shall be validated by a Florida Water Star-accredited inspector using this checklist. To be awarded with certification, each criterion identified for landscape, irrigation and indoor must be complied with and supported by documentation.

Eligibility: New construction and existing homes are eligible to receive certification before applying for the rebate.

Reimbursement: Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.

Exemptions: Property cannot be located outside of OUC’s water service territory.
