Before You Get Started
- Learn about the benefits of a WaterSense-labeled toilet.
- Find a new toilet that that consumes 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF). Use the WaterSense Product Search feature to ensure selected model is considered WaterSense certified.
- Purchase an eligible toilet model to replace an existing toilet that consumes 3.5+ gallons per flush (GPF).
- Decide whether to install it yourself or hire a professional.
- Don’t forget to take any photos of your old toilet and its date stamp, which will be needed while applying for rebate.

Submitting Your Rebate Application
Be prepared to provide us with the following documents:
- A receipt/invoice for the toilet purchase. If professionally installed, a receipt/invoice for the installation must also be submitted.
- Product information about the new toilet, such as a manufacturer’s brochure, specification sheet, retailer’s product description screenshot, WaterSense-labeled screenshot, etc.
- A picture of the old toilet you replaced, which clearly shows the date stamp (year of manufacture) located on the inside of the toilet tank near the water line. Click here for further guidance.
Rebate Requirements & FAQs
Requirements: The new toilet must be an EPA WaterSense-labeled model that consumes 1.28 gallons per flush (GPF) or less and replaces an existing toilet that consumes 3.5+ gallons per flush (GPF). All receipts/invoices submitted must be dated and submitted within six (6) months of the date of purchase.
Eligibility: Rebate is available to OUC water customers only. Replaced toilet must have been made before 1994.
Reimbursement: Rebate amount is 100% of the cost of the high-efficiency toilet, up to $125, for purchasing and installing a qualifying WaterSense-labeled toilet. Customers will receive an approval email once the application has been submitted, reviewed and approved by one of our conservation support specialists. Rebate will be paid as a credit on your bill.
Exemptions: Property cannot be located outside of OUC’s water service territory. Homes or business built after 1994 are not eligible for this rebate.
