Robinson Street 230 kV Underground Transmission Line
Project Overview
To provide the most dependable service possible and meet growth demands in Central Florida, OUC The
—Reliable One is installing a new underground electric transmission line along Robinson Street from
North Fern Creek Avenue to North Crystal Lake Drive/Maguire Boulevard. This work includes excavation to install an
underground duct bank stretching 0.96 miles. No existing overhead lines will be removed or relocated.
OUC is working in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) Robinson Street Resurfacing, Restoration and
Rehabilitation (RRR) project from Mills Avenue to Maguire Boulevard/Crystal Lake Drive and the City of Orlando's Robinson Street Sanitary Sewer Improvements project. OUC's 230 kV
transmission project will be completed ahead of FDOT's RRR project.
Together, these projects will transform Robinson Street. Below, courtesy of FDOT, are streetscape renderings of the
future Robinson Street after all roadway, streetscape, and utilities improvements are completed.

Project Schedule and Traffic Impacts
Construction began April 8, 2024, and will run along portions of Robinson Street. The full project's anticipated
completion date is January 2025. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make enhancements to
ensure electric reliability for our growing community.
Most of the transmission project work will be done during normal working hours, Mondays through Saturdays.
Multiple crews will work on different sections of the road at any given time. Signage will vary according to the type
of work activity.
Below is the anticipated work schedule through August 27, 2024.

North Fern Creek Avenue to North Glenwood Avenue
Current through 07/27/2024
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one travel lane from North Fern Creek Avenue through North Hillside Avenue. The Hampton Avenue intersection will reopen allowing eastbound turns. Please expect delays.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane starting at North Glenwood Avenue and will be closed completely from North Hillside Avenue through North Fern Creek Avenue. Please follow the detour to Livingston
Street.
7/28/2024 through 8/16/2024
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one travel lane from North Fern Creek Avenue through North Glenwood Avenue. The North Forest Avenue intersection will reopen allowing eastbound turns. Please expect delays.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane starting at North Bumby Avenue and will be closed to thru-traffic from North Glenwood Avenue to North Fern Creek Avenue. Please follow the detour to
Livingston Street.

North Graham Avenue to North Lakewood Drive
The North Primrose Drive intersection will be closed. Follow northbound and southbound detours.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one travel lane from North Graham Avenue through North Lakewood Drive. Please expect delays.
Westbound traffic will be reduced to one travel lane from North Lakewood Drive through North Graham Avenue. Please expect delays.
