St. Cloud Municipal Power Plant Demolition and Remediation

Project Overview

On behalf of the City of St Cloud, OUC—The Reliable One will oversee the demolition and remediation of the St. Cloud Municipal Power Plant at 1718 10th Street in St. Cloud.

Site preparation is underway, and the first stages of demolition are slated to begin in July 2025. Over approximately one calendar year, the site will be cleared and remediated for future use. Work may periodically impact the surrounding streets (9th, 10th, Missouri and Connecticut). Electronic signage will be placed in the area to provide advance notification to residents.

The St. Cloud Municipal Power Plant was retired in March 2008, and in 2020, the City of St. Cloud approved a plan to demolish and remediate the former facility and site.
