project_care_heroResidential Assistance

We have customers who face a variety of challenges, from needing specialized shelter during storms to financial help during personal hardships.  We offer a number of different assistance programs because we want to help our community meet those challenges.

Since 1994, Project CARE has helped thousands of local families through difficult times. The program provides emergency relief for those experiencing temporary financial hardships to keep their lights on and water flowing when they need it most.

Project CARE is made possible through the generosity of OUC employees and customers. Working together, we can make a positive difference for our neighbors in our community.

How Can I Donate?
You may add $1, $2, $5, or a specified amount to your monthly bill. For every $1 you donate to the program, OUC will contribute $2. Simply log in into your myOUC account and enroll.

OUC's Medical Alert Program is offered to customers whose electrical service is medically essential. Customers requiring life-sustaining equipment (such as heart monitors, oxygen concentrators, feeding pump, in home dialysis, etc.) can rely on OUC to provide special consideration for their accounts.

If you or a member of your family uses life-sustaining equipment, please call us at 407-423-9018. An OUC customer service representative will give you details about the Medical Alert Program and tell you how to qualify.
