ORLANDO - OUC—The Reliable One – is sending a total of 19 employees to Bay County, Florida (386 miles away) to assist with water restoration efforts. The crews are leaving in waves starting at noon today (10/12).
The employees include electricians and those with the skillset required to rebuild water distribution systems. OUC is also sending backup generators and heavy equipment.
OUC water crews are expected to be gone for seven days. Our employees are prepared to work 16 hour days.
The crews include: Kevin Cooper, Nathan Vaughn, Ron Byers, Kraig Wyckoff, Justin Alexander, Jason Copeland, Tim Barley, Dalton Segrest, Brandon Wise, Vern Kivel, Zachary Giamatt, Steven Wray Jr., Marcus Anderson, Salvador Magana, Tim Tillman, Todd Jernigan, Sam Haire, James White and Luis Long.
OUC will now have a total of 40 employees deployed including water and electric.
OUC also sent 21 electric employees on Tuesday to Tallahassee. Those crews continue to work today and have helped restore power to thousands of customers including a medical facility.
