Mutual Aid Crews Head to Tallahassee Ahead of Hurricane Michael’s Landfall

tallahassee_crews_1018ORLANDO - At  noon today (10/9), 21 OUC employees and 17 trucks left Pershing for Tallahassee ahead of Hurricane Michael’s landfall in North Florida. The crews include damage assessors with expertise in helping prioritize power restoration, as well as five (5), three-man line crews. Currently, there is no time frame for how long the group will be gone, but they are prepared to work 16-hour days to help the area recover as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall Wednesday as a Category 3 storm along the Panhandle.
