2012 Florida Energy Summit

May 22, 2012

ORLANDO – Earlier this month, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam toured OUC’s Stanton Energy Center, which features natural gas, coal, landfill gas and solar generation, before stopping by OUC’s downtown headquarters to announce the details of the 2012 Florida Energy Summit. Putnam, who was joined by OUC Commissioner Dan Kirby, said the Gold LEED- and Water Star-certified Reliable Plaza was the perfect place to announce the three-day conference that will bring together energy leaders from across the state and around the nation to share ideas on diversifying the state’s energy sources, spurring economic growth and promoting energy conservation. Putnam commended OUC being a model for fuel diversity and conservation and efficiency programs for its customers.

The Florida Energy Summit is open to the public. It will be August 15-17 at Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. To learn more, visit floridaenergysummit.com/
