ORLANDO – OUC crews and additional out-of-state resources have made outstanding progress throughout the night. They have restored power to 25,000 customers since it was safe to go out and work yesterday morning. As of 11:00 a.m. today, only about 1,000 customers remain impacted. Our plan is to complete all restoration, system-wide by 2 p.m. today.
OUC will return to normal customer service operations at 12:00 p.m. today while continuing to take outage calls.
We have started to release crews from other states to help utilities who still need help restoring power. Before the storm hit, OUC brought in hundreds of additional line technicians and tree trimmers from numerous states to speed power restoration.
OUC’s online outage map at OUC.com/stormcenter is fully functional and able to provide up-to-date outage information.
