OUC Wins 2007 ReliabilityOne™ Award in Southeast Region
Award Recognizes Most Reliable Electric Utilities Nationwide
 

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – This week OUC—The Reliable One was recognized by PA Consulting Group as the winner of the 2007 ReliabilityOne™ award in the Southeast region. The ReliabilityOne™ award is given annually to the utilities that have excelled in delivering reliable electric service to their customers.

“Our employees go to work every day committed to delivering the most reliable service to our customers,” said Byron Knibbs, OUC vice president of Energy Delivery. “We are very proud to have earned the ReliabilityOne™ award for the fourth time and to further solidify our reputation as ‘The Reliable One.’ “

All utilities operating electric delivery networks in North America are eligible for consideration for the ReliabilityOneTM award. There are a total of six regional awards, five to investor-owned utilities in the following regions: Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Plains, and West; and one to a community utility. The selection of provisional winners is based primarily on system reliability statistics that measure outage frequency and outage duration. After provisional winners are selected, each company undergoes an on-site certification process, which provides an independent review of the policies, processes and systems used to collect, analyze and report a company's reliability results.
