OUC LAUNCHES CFL FUNDRAISER
ORLANDO - This fall Central Florida charities can raise money for their organizations while helping OUC-The Reliable One promote energy conservation through OUC's Compact Fluorescent Light Bulb (CFL) Fundraiser.
In October and November, not-for-profit groups can participate in the fundraiser and take orders for energy-saving CFL bulbs from the community to earn a portion of the proceeds from each sale. Thanks to OUC providing the bulbs, which typically retail for $4.50-$5.50, at wholesale prices, the not-for-profits can earn $2 for each bulb sold. Groups that sell more than 25 bulbs will receive a special prize. The CFL fundraiser provides a great, energy-saving product to customers while also helping charitable organizations raise money. To learn more about this exciting program or to sign up for a training session for your group, please contact Katherine Johnson at 407.647.6124 or kjohnson@cflfundraiser.org. Or go to www.cflfundraiser.org to register your group today. Established in 1923 by a special act of the Florida Legislature, OUC—The Reliable One is the second largest municipal utility in Florida. OUC provides electric and water services to more than 200,000 customers in Orlando, St. Cloud and parts of unincorporated Orange and Osceola counties. |
