OUC Tournament Raises $25,000
For Bone Marrow Program

ORLANDO (November 9, 2000) – OUC’s annual charity golf tournament raised $25,000 for Florida Hospital’s bone marrow transplant program for children. More than 140 OUC employees, retirees and vendors played in the recent tournament at Stoneybrook Golf Club.

"We’re glad to see these proceeds go toward such an important and potentially life-saving program," said Bob Haven, OUC’s general manager and CEO.

OUC holds charity golf tournaments annually to benefit worthwhile not-for-profit organizations across Central Florida.

This year’s proceeds will benefit the Florida Children’s Hospital bone marrow transplant program, located at Walt Disney Memorial Cancer Institute at Florida Hospital. The program cares for children who are battling the life-threatening disease leukemia.
