How to Apply for OUC's Residential Solar PV Incentive

Overview

1. Contact OUC’s Customer Service to request an energy survey. (Optional)
2. Solicit quotes and select a contractor to install the solar system.
3. Contact Orlando Federal Credit Union (OFCU) to apply for a low-interest loan. (Optional)
4. Submit paperwork to OUC’s Renewables Department.
5. Install proper metering equipment.
6. Pull or have contractor pull required permits and complete permit inspection.
7. After inspection is completed, contact OUC’s Renewables Department confirming metering equipment has been installed.
8. OUC’s Renewables Department then requests OUC’s Electric Meter Shop to schedule an inspection.
9. OUC’s Electric Meter Shop calls the customer to schedule an inspection.
10. OUC completes the solar system inspection and if applicable, installs the electric meters for PV systems.
11. If financing with the OFCU, OUC will send a certificate of completion to the OFCU.
12. Start receiving monthly credits on the OUC bill.

How to Apply for OUC's Residential Solar Thermal Rebate

Overview

1. Contact OUC’s Customer Service to request an energy survey. (Optional)
2. Solicit quotes from OUC’s Preferred Solar Contractors and select one to install the solar system.
3. OUC’s Preferred Solar Contractor will apply the appropriate thermal rebate amount to the cost of your system at the point-of-sale.
4. Contact Orlando Federal Credit Union (OFCU) to apply for a zero to low-interest loan. (Optional)
5. Pull or have contractor pull required permits and complete permit inspection.
6. After permit inspection is completed, contractor submits reimbursement application, invoice and a copy of the customer’s sales receipt to OUC.
7. OUC schedules and completes a verification of the solar thermal system.
8. If financing with the OFCU, OUC will send a certificate of completion to the OFCU.
