How To Read Your Orlando/Orange County OUC Bill
Your monthly OUC bill offers much more than just payment information. It is also a great source for useful facts ranging from your personal usage history to customer service locations to money saving tips. Your bill also includes vital information regarding sewer and garbage services provided by the City of Orlando.

1- Account Number
Use this 10 digit number whenever you contact us about your account.
2- Consumption History
These graphs provide a quick visual record of your energy and water usage over the past 13 months, including your average daily usage for the current month.
3- OUC Meter Reading
Arranged vertically to make it easier to calculate total usage, this area shows your current and past month's readings as well as the number of days billed.
4- OUC Electric Charges
This is based on the number of kilowatt hours (KWH) used during the billing cycle multiplied by an energy charge and fuel charge, plus a fixed monthly customer charge.
5- OUC Water Charges
This is based on a fixed usage charge per each 1,000 gallons (KGAL) of water used during the present billing cycle multiplied by the corresponding consumption charge, plus a fixed monthly customer charge.
6- Other Agencies' Charge
Your OUC statement also contains the bill for certain fees and taxes charged by the City of Orlando, Orange County, and other state and local government agencies. Please contact these agencies for information about their charges. The Gross Receipt Tax applies to electric charges only.
7- The Bottom Line

How to Read Your New Bill with Account Consolidation

1- New Account Number
Use this new 10-digit number whenever you contact us about your consolidated account or to log on to E-bill.
2- Service Address
The address displays above each business location's charges.
3- Customer Ref
This represents a reference number supplied by the customer. This may be a charge code, cost center, location code, or other reference specific to the customer's accounting system.
4- Subtotal
The subtotal represents the total charges for each service address.
5- Deposit on Account
The Deposit on Account represents the total cash deposits for all service addresses.
6- Summary of Current Charges
This section of the bill summarizes like charges across service addresses. The Total of the Summary of Current Charges represents the Total Current Charges this month.

OUC is always looking for ways to improve our service. The system that manages OUC customer billing and account information will be improved to provide efficiency and faster access to customer account information.
How does multiple account consolidation impact my accounts with OUC?
Customers with multiple OUC accounts will benefit from account consolidation billing. All accounts will be rolled into one bill with one due date for one payment.
When the account is consolidated, will I be able to see exactly how much was billed to each of my business addresses?
Yes, the service address is printed at the beginning of each business address. All charges are separated for each service address and a subtotal is also included.
Will my due date change?
Yes. You will receive one consolidated bill with one due date.
Will my account number change?
Yes. Your new account number will now be a 10-digit number. Upon receiving your bill, please update your records to reflect this new account number.
How do I submit my Customer Ref number for use in billing?
The Customer Reference space is offered as an optional feature. If you would like to place information in that field, e-mail Commercial Services with your Customer Reference for each service address.
What does each amount represent in the Summary of Current Changes?
This section of the bill summarizes like charges across the numerous service addresses. (Example: An account has five service addresses, each with Electric and Domestic Water. The summary displays one combined total for Electric and one combined total for Domestic Water).
I currently have 10 accounts. Will I be able to view bill history for all 10 accounts using OUConvenient Billing (E-bill)?
Yes. A total of 18 months of previous bill history will be available on the OUConvenient Billing web page.
