Education
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.

Requirements
Minimum seven (7) years software development experience (in multiple environments), employing formal software development methodologies. Experience with network architectures, relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server required) and client/server environment (HP Unix and MS Windows 2K). Working knowledge of a C++, Java, EJB, J2EE, XML, XSL, HTML, ASP, .net, NSAPI, ISAPI, SQL, JDBC, ODBC and related technologies on both UNIX and Windows platforms. More than two (2+) years developing transaction processing internet-based web sites and web services. Application experience with Cognos (or equivalent), PeopleSoft ERM, J.D. Edwards OneWorld (Unix/Oracle), LogicaCMG STORMS, CGI Outage Management System, Siemens HiPath ProCenter is desired. Experience in structured design, analysis and development techniques and structure test methodologies. Good written and oral communication skills; ability to make presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent interpersonal and interview skills. Experience providing technical guidance to junior developers..

Basic Job Duties

Responsible for the following:

  • Perform software development duties as part of a team, including
    • Analysis and Specifications
    • Application Design
    • Code Development
    • Unit and Integration Testing of Code
    • Support System and Client Acceptance Test Efforts
  • Work with other team members to understand technical requirements and identify and resolve issues and risks
  • Provide technical guidance to junior developers
  • Provide second tier on call support in the event there are production outages
Projects include the development and implementation of automated systems, back-office systems, integration middleware, web services, web development, EAI, ERW, data modeling and data warehousing. Install and maintain software packages purchased by OUC. Responsible for developing programmatic solution, testing solution for accuracy with defined test plan, coordinating the implementation and completion of recommended specifications for all new systems, system changes and problem correction.
