Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related area of study, or equivalent in related experience. An MBA is preferred.

Requirements
Minimum of seven (7) years experience in the fuel and financial markets. One (1) year of supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Strong written, oral and negotiation skills. Advanced quantitative analysis skills. Ability to understand production costing results. Willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Basic Job Duties
To provide a wide range of fuel related services to the Power Resources Business Unit, its alliances, and its customers as outlined I the list of duties and responsibilities. Develop and implement fuel procurement and transportation strategies for coal, natural gas, fuel oil, and alternate fuels. Develop and manage financial hedge portfolios to stabilize short and long term fuel price exposure. Develop and perform probability based financial risk and forecasting analyses. Provide direct support for bulk power marketing contract development, negotiation, and execution. Develop and maintain fuel inventory, forecasting, SO2 allowance, procurement performance, and competitor comparative cost models. Management of the 18-mile rail track into Stanton as well as the fleet of railcars. Perform supervisory and administrative functions as defined and required to support the Power Resources Business Unit.
