Eight hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
Salary
Buyer/Planner B: $47,400 - $71,000 annually, based upon
skills and experience
Education
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management or
equivalent in related experience.
Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years of purchasing experience with at least two (1) years
of purchasing engineering, construction, power plant and generation equipment
components and electrical components preferred. Extensive knowledge of
Purchasing practices and procedures. Good computer skills including a working
knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access). Good analytical
ability with aptitude for details and statistics. Excellent communication
skills. Must have vision and be able to handle complex issues.
Basic Job Duties
Create purchase orders from
requisitions. Create, track, manage, evaluate and award bids. Work with the
internal customer to develop long-term contracts and/or alliances for their
Division. Work with internal customers to manage long-term contracts/alliances
with the goal of reducing OUC’s total ownership cost. Assist vendors and
internal customers with questions or problems concerning the purchasing process.
Purchase goods and services in accordance with OUC policy. Expedite purchase
orders to insure promised delivery or completion compliance. Planning company
requirements in order to meet the internal customers requirements. Develop, bid,
evaluate, award, implement and manage long-term contracts and alliance type
programs.
